Italian buttercream icing as requested by Chuckles

Options

Icing ingredients:

Four tablespoons of flour, one cup of milk, 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup Crisco shortening, one cup sugar, 2 teaspoons of vanilla

Combine the flour and the milk in a small saucepan and continue to stir over a low heat until it thickens. Refrigerate until cold

Cream together butter, crisco, sugar, and vanilla until it is not gritty. Then add the flour mixture and beat for a very long time until icing is smooth. Ice the cold cake with icing. It is best to keep the cake refrigerated afterwards
