Homemade chicken and dumpling

we made chicken and dumplings tonight. I love the recipe. Let me know if you try it and how you like it. Note I don't measure anything for this recipe its more of a season-to-taste recipe.

I start by cooking at least 1lb of chicken, shredding it, and then browning it in a pan with salt pepper garlic powder, and onion powder.

Remove most of the chicken from the pot.

add to the pot chicken broth. ( the amount depends on the size of the pot and how much you want)

then add to the broth salt pepper garlic and onion powder.

bring to a boil.

while this is coming to a boil. mix your dumpling dough.

I use an entire box of Bisquick,( the large box) add to it salt pepper onion garlic powder, shredded cheese, and the browned chicken meat, and add milk slowly until you get a dough.

When broth comes to a boil add in the dumpling by using two spoons to form a ball of your preferred size. once they have cooked I pull them out and add new dumpling balls. I have to repeat this step three times.

Once all the dough is gone I add it all back to the pot for about 15 minutes uncovered.

Then it's time to eat.
