Beef (or chicken) Merlot

Options

3-4 cups beef broth 6 minced garlic cloves 2 cups cooked meat of choice. 2 cups sliced carrots 1 1/2 cups diced onions 2 cups thick sliced fresh mushrooms 2 1/2 cups chunked potatoes. 1 1/2 cups chunked celery (optional) 1 1/2 - 2 cups red wine (merlot)

Simmer on medium low heat ...the broth, 1/2 of the wine, carrots, onions, garlic, meat (and celery if using) until semi tender

Add potatoes and cook till tender. Add mushrooms and rest of wine and simmer 5 minutes

You could thicken the broth a little bit or leave it just as it is, the choice is yours. Hope you like it!!!
